I have to say that, before listening their new and still very fresh EP "Death Mass Execution" (released by the US label Larval Productions), I didn't know Satanize. Despite this, this Portuguese duo born in 2001 is very prolific since they have realized even 4 full-lenght albums between 2009 and 2016 in the spirit of the most Satanic filth. And, surely, Satanize don't deny their fame with "Death Mass Execution" cranking up their fury so to compete greatly with similar new monsters such as Barbaric Horde, reviewed 10 days ago.

In fact, this EP, opened by a short noisy intro made by the US heavy electronics maniacs Erratix and presented by a fantastic cover artwork created by Sickness666 (also singer of the Thai bestial black/death metal band Zygoatsis) with a very strong Chris Moyen vibe, mutilate with extreme violence the ears of the listeners through only 3 songs, each of them shorter than the previous one. This extreme violence is due to a bestial black/death metal where the singer wheeze so hatefully that he seem to be the twin brother of Impurath of Black Witchery, the guitars spew forth a series of spastic and apocalyptic riffs while the drums represents an hallucinating storm of warlike blast-beats dosed appropriately with some breaks and mid-tempos, also if you can hear these last ones only in "Doom Conjuration", the better structured song of the entire EP. For the rest, the opening track "Purge Sacred Blood" is mentionable to be the only number to has an (excruciating) guitar solo. Instead, the titletrack ends perfectly the EP through only two minutes of a total holocaust so violent to leave smoking ears in its wake, also thanks to abrupt and fantastic tom-tom beats made by the drummer.
So, at the end, you have in presence of a very raw intense and brutal EP where there is a band stylistically very close to the aforementioned Barbaric Horde and to many other blasphemous entities that, born during these last years, are devoted to these chaotic sounds. Granted, "Death Mass Execution" is nothing special and also very short but, for the maniacs of the bestial black/death metal like me, it is an abomination to listen again and again...until the final Satanic holocaust!
